What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing therapy for stress reduction and relaxation that can also help your body promote healing. The Rei in Reiki is universal energy and it is the energy that is present everywhere. The ki in Reiki is life energy and is the non-physical energy that animates all living things. Reiki Practitioners connect to and use this energy for healing themselves and others. Reiki is provided by lightly putting hands on or above the body and is a therapy which has been practiced for thousands of years. Reiki is a very simple but powerful technique that is used worldwide.
